  • Pinot Noir 2014

    Pinot Noir has been a hallmark of Hermann J. Wiemer Vineyard since our founding. This delicate and expressive varietal benefits from the moderating effects of Seneca Lake and the long, warm autumns of our region.

    2014 was a near ideal harvest season. A cool growing season guaranteed structured acidities, while ripening in our Magdalena Vineyard carried on with no interrupting rains or frosts. The resulting Pinot Noir is firm and dense on its initial approach, announcing its structure through a broad, red fruit finish.

  • Cabernet Franc 2015

    Ideally suited to cool climate growing, Cabernet Franc is quickly gaining a reputation as a principal red wine grape in the Finger Lakes where long, brisk autumns allow for slow ripening. The outcome is a consistently ripe presentation with exceptional depth and body. Cabernet Franc is often used as a base for a blend, but the region is proving that the grape stands well on its own as a full-bodied wine. An alluring black cherry color and a compelling nose precede a palate that is generous and round, marked by vivacious berry flavors, along with savory earth notes and a full structure. Firm tannins grip the tongue, then soften into a flavorsome, pungent finish.

  • Dry Rosé 2016

    Our Dry Rosé is hand-harvested from small plots of Pinot Noir on the western slopes of Seneca Lake. Its bright color is drawn from an eighteen hour cold soak. This imparts a red fruit profile to compliment its refreshing crispness. It is perfect for light, summery fair.

  • Field Red

    Our Field Red is a blend of Cabernet Franc, Merlot, and Cabernet Sauvignon. Soft on the palate and fruit-forward, it is a medium-bodied table wine intended to complement a wide range of dishes.
