A Note from the Winery

May 19, 2020 | News & Noteworthy

We hope that this email finds you in good health and spirits. The waves of Spring blossoms sure are helping ours, as have the fun interactions that we have had with many of you during our Friday afternoon live virtual tastings and Q&As! What a wonderful way to stay connected!

We have been fielding many inquiries from folks wondering about our plans for the future and the reopening of the Tasting Room at Hermann J. Wiemer Vineyard. Though we are eagerly awaiting the time when we can welcome you back to the winery, we also know that the safety of our staff and our guests must be our first priority! A phrase that seems to be gaining some traction in the beverage and restaurant world is “safety is hospitality.” To us, this means that we will do our very best to maintain our signature Wiemer hospitality while creating a comfortable, safe, and enjoyable space for our guests and staff alike. Though we are not completely sure what this will look like yet, we will keep you updated and informed every step of the way.

Right now, at the earliest, we are still about a month out from opening. We are taking this time to study and compile requirements and recommendations in order to be best prepared. What we know for certain, and have seen from wine regions around the country is that reservations are going to be a crucial component in our Tasting Room operations going forward. We will continue to communicate with you as the rest of our procedures fall into place. As always, we thank you for your support & understanding!
