Closed for Business Thursday, February 16th

Feb 16, 2017 | News & Noteworthy

We will be closed for business Thursday, Feb 16th in solidarity with our staff and family here at Hermann J. Wiemer Vineyard and Nursery. The Wiemer Vineyard family has always consisted of, and relied on, a wonderful and diverse community of women and parents, locals and once non-New Yorkers, European and Latino immigrants, retirees and students, and first-, second-, and third-generation Americans . This has made our company thrive, and remain socially and economically sustainable. While our business is nonpartisan, we note with concern that recent developments are causing anxiety among our staff and broader community. We will therefore be closed tomorrow, in order to honor and support these efforts in the “A Day Without Immigrants” movement.
