Wiemer Vineyard is proud to host “Music for a Sparkling Summer Evening” on Saturday, August 16th at 7pm. This third annual summer salon will be a benefit for the acclaimed Bach Choir of Bethlehem.
The Winery’s 100 year old scissor-trussed barn provides a unique setting for the evening’s festivities which will include sweets and savories paired with Hermann J. Wiemer wines. Tickets for the evening are $75 per person.
Renowned soprano Rosa Lamoreaux will be joined by the Choir’s artistic director and conductor Greg Funfgeld, piano, in a delightful musical program including pieces by Bach, Mozart, Gershwin, and Porter. A special feature this year will be a performance of Claude Bolling’s enchanting Suite for Flute and Jazz Piano performed by Robin Kani, flute, Greg Funfgeld, piano, Daniel McDougal, bass, and Christopher Hanning, percussion. The Bach Choir will use the proceeds for educational outreach in sharing the music and passion of J.S. Bach with a wide and diverse audience.
