Blanc de Blanc

With an emphasis on craftsmanship, Hermann J. Wiemer Vineyard produces distinctive sparkling wines in the traditional method. Extended lees contact builds weight and texture on the palate. A focus on early ripeness underpins subtle fruit notes with vibrant structure. The 2017 vintage was cool and produced wines with focused acidity and precision. Our sparkling wines from 2017 have been particularly stunning and this Blanc de Blanc is the latest gem. This wine was sourced entirely from our original 1978 Chardonnay plantings at our HJW site. The 2017 vintage was the first year that this parcel was farmed biodynamically. The wine was fermented in stainless steel and was en tirage for 41 months. Distinct notes of lemon curd and jonagold apple coat the palate with a delightful mousse.
