With an emphasis on craftsmanship, Hermann J. Wiemer Vineyard produces distinctive sparkling wines in the traditional method. Extended lees contact builds weight and texture on the palate. A focus on early ripeness underpins subtle fruit notes with a vibrant structure. The Pinot Noir for our Blanc de Noir 2013 was sourced from early picks in our Magdalena Vineyard. It spent 41 months on the lees, softening slightly en tirage and developing notes of strawberry preserve and soft dough biscuits.

Our classic 100% Chardonnay Blanc de Blanc is clean and racy. A grapefruit peel nose hints at its dominant citrus acidity while seventy months on the lees prior to disgorgement has broadened the aromatics considerably. Look for notes of peppermint and brioche on the finish, especially once the bottle has had time to open up.
